This program serves women completing the last portion of their prison sentence, assisting them with their re-entry into society. Participants live at the Goodwill corrections facility in St. Petersburg for three to nine months while working at least 35 hours per week. NFDM conducts live 2 day financial seminars for federal probation officers in the New Jersey Federal Prison System. The probation officers are given hands-on tasks using the curriculum specifically designed for the needs of ex-offenders. Using the materials provided, while being coached by the NFDM education team, the officers gain a clear understanding of the money management obstacles that will face their clients and how to help them avoid these obstacles. These Train-the-Trainer seminars also provide information and instruction for obtaining and understanding credit reports, avoiding credit pitfalls, and recognizing credit repair scams.
